Summary of features

Terracotta floor tiles were chosen to match some in existing hallway, reflecting the Edwardian heritage of the property. They provide a strong feeling of warmth in the otherwise light and neutral palette.
The floor has plumbed underfloor heating - warming the room and easy on bare feet!

This existing panelled cupboard is listed and contains the lead weights of the clock in the tower above, it had to be extensively renovated.
A new bottom door conceals waste and recycling facilities

Tongue & groove panelling was added to this wall to match the panelling on the clock weight cupboard and elsewhere in the property.
It was painted a rich taupe to unify this wall and to provide contrast for the kitchen cabinetry

The existing Bath stone walls on three sides were saved from being covered up by focusing the design in the centre of the room, allowing them to play a major role in the scheme

Permission was gained to close up the original opening for the horse-drawn fire tender. The kitchen was designed to "focus" on the new arched window
