Summary of features
The existing window was widened to provide symmetry on the window wall, allowing a freestanding bath and waterfall bath filler to produce a striking effect, visible from the hallway of the home
The bath is positioned on a raised "bathing platform", allowing the plumbing to be routed, hidden, around the room, while also adding a sense of drama to the bath
Plantation shutters provide privacy, with a sense of luxury.
They were made to measure in the same rich taupe colour as the wall
The taupe painted wall contrasts the pure white of the bath, accentuating this focal point of the room
A bespoke, horizontal-grained oak vanity unit, matching the materials of the kitchen, was desiged to be wall-mounted and topped with Sicilian Grey granite.
It has a large, handle-less, soft-close drawer for storage
"Book-matched" horizontal-grained oak, matching the cabinetry in the kitchen, was used to create this elegant, square-patterned, wall-storage cabinet. It contains lots of glass shelving inside
A gilt mirror, made to match the scale of the vanity unit, adds luxury and personality to the room
A dimmable chandelier adds luxury to the eclectic scheme
Wall-mounting the vanity unit, monobloc tap and WC pan enhance the feeling of spaciousness and elegance
The existing en-suite with basin and shower cublicle was transformed into a huge walk-in shower with an amazing curved end wall
Water from the shower disappears into this tile-over, linear gully trap allowing seamless transition between floor and shower, and no disruption to the shower floor area
Circular mosaic tiles add a soft, tactile feel to the curved walls
The ceiling is lowered, concealing hidden extraction, and with LED effect-lighting to accentuate the sweeping curve. It was coloured aubergine to add some richness and personality to the design
The LED floor lights accentuate the curve while providing some fun effect-lighting...especially on dark winter mornings!
Ceiling mounted fixed shower in the centre of the semi circle
Water can be diverted to a hand-held shower
Wall-mounted WC pan with cistern hidden in painted storage boxing.
The Sicilian Grey granite countertop matches the pallet of the kitchen and utility room
